Zoya has come out with their fall 2013 Satin and Cashmere collection. I am usually very excited for these collections because all I use is Zoya nail polish. However, at the moment I just picked up two out of the twelve polishes. To be honest I am not crazy about this collection. I picked up Sailor and Neve to add to my never ending blue tone collection. I am crazy about dark blue polish which is a total surprise for me. Throughout most of my life I have never worn polish on my hands because I would bite on my nails. Once I was finally able to stop, all i would wear is pink polish. I decided to try something different and discovered the blue tone obsession. I was going to also pick up Channing, the rust red copper metallic. I find that color pretty interesting and unique; its the one futured above. I’m not sure if I did not find other colors appealing because I do have such a big Zoya collection or if it is the colors they used were not my cup of tea.
Here is what Sailor looks like:
At first I thought it looked very similar to Natty but after comparing they are way different. The formula is super easy to work with and super creamy. In fact I think this is probably my second favorite polish of all time due to its formula and color. The navy dark intensity in this polish turns it to total chic color I think I will be wearing nonstop for a little bit.
Here is what Neve looks like:
Here is what the polish looks like in the bottle:
Ok this color was a bit difficult and tricky to photograph. It comes up in all sorts of hues and tones all over the place. So I took a shot of the bottle so you see for yourself. Zoya swatch for this color is slightly different than what the actual bottle looks like as you can see above and compare below. It’s actually way prettier in person. It is darker and way purple metallic then what they are showing. I loved the formula on this one as well. Usually there tends to be a much different consistency with metallic, glitter, creams, but this formula was super creamy as well. It was super easy to work with. (Update) after looking at the picture of Neve on my Ipad its also looking like the swatch Zoya has. Just note the picture of the bottle that's what you should expect.
Overall if I had to pick between the two collections I would pick the Satins collection for its appeal and that “something new” thing. You can purchase any of the nail polishes on their website now. Here are Zoya swatches
